The Cable Bill

A much more enjoyable game to watch. The Rockies are playing without fire, but Schilling was amazing and Okajima is ridiculous. And once Papelbon has the ball, forget about it. I predict that Dice-K will pitch terribly and that the Rockies will take the first game at home.

I am generally very bad at remembering names- very bad. Since I know this, however, it is something I work on. Yet, I’ve been noticing a disturbing trend: while I generally have been remembering more names, I’ve been calling people the wrong name more frequently. Somebody should study this and I will volunteer to be a subject.

After 4739 words and a two solid days of work, my Mid-term comments are finally done. It is an exhausting exercise, especially to do well (which I think I do, honestly).
I wish I could say I was taking the rest of the day off, but I am just getting started…

When I was getting ready to graduate college, I got a gift certificate to LL Bean. I used it to buy a rain jacket- the same rain jacket that I still own today. I decided on blue because, well, I’ve always liked blue as a color, and it is kind of unobtrusive. Plus, it looks good with orange.

I would be hating the weather today. The wind has been blowing, it has been overcast, there has been the occasional downpour of rain, and if it were forty or fifty degrees, I would be miserable. I’d ponder staying inside all day with a blanket and tea. Or, maybe I’d muse about the approach of fall.

Naturally Awake?
Thanks to a savvy rescheduling of our normal Thursday morning meeting, and the fact that I don’t teach the first period of the day, I promised myself that I would sleep in and wake up naturally and then immediately get up and get going.
