When I was getting ready to graduate college, I got a gift certificate to LL Bean. I used it to buy a rain jacket- the same rain jacket that I still own today. I decided on blue because, well, I’ve always liked blue as a color, and it is kind of unobtrusive. Plus, it looks good with orange.
Well, I was wearing the jacket today- not because it was raining, but because I didn’t want it to rain (it is actually a rain prevention jacket, but that is another story)- and it was still on when I went to assembly. Just imagine, a huge room filled with kids in mostly red, and then one guy, just one guy, walking around in a blue rain jacket.
I definitely felt really awkward.
