So, I’ve been ordering movies from Amazon for quite some time. As a Prime member, I get free two-day shipping, which is awesome. It also has meant that in the past, if I order a new release (new DVDs are almost always released on Tuesday) on the weekend before, I typically get it in the mail on Tuesday.
Obviously, this means that Amazon has the movie in their warehouse before it is released (well before, in fact), setting up the possibility that someone might actually get the movie before the official release date.
That happened today. I ordered a couple of DVDs along with Iron Man on Thursday. Amazon bundled all three items together and shipped them on Friday, which means I got them today. Awesome.
