Oh wow.
Well, look at that. December 17th. Since my last post (11/21), and my last written post (11/7), here’s what I’ve been up to:
- November 10th: Had a morning meeting about a student who can barely tell left from right, let alone piece together a logical thought. Funny kid, though.
- November 10th-13th were full of interviewing CIO candidates. Sixty to ninety minute interviews every afternoon for a whole week.
- Grades and comments were due on November the 18th, so the days running up to that day were full of grading and writing.
- Had our final CIO meeting before bringing candidates to campus. That was a true love fest, let me tell you.
- Wellness testing the morning of the 19th (still no results yet… that’s right, it has been nearly a month).
- Poker night on the 20th. I took home the big pot on the last hand, on the river.
- Drove to Nashville on the 21st, then hopped on a non-stop to LA.
- Visited Harvard-Westlake on the 24th and 25th (during my vacation, that’s right). Nice school
- Drove to San Francisco the morning of the 26th. Late afternoon traffic was a mess.
- Wonderful Thanksgiving!
- Drove back down to LA. Worst. Traffic. Ever. There was a damn line to use the bathroom at this one place we stopped. Trip took 5 hours longer than it should have.
- Woke up early for the flight back to Nashville, and subsequent drive on 12/1
- Went back to school 12/2
- Made a speech at our girls cross-country banquet on 12/3. Terrifying.
- Left for the annual TABS conference in Baltimore on the morning of 12/4.
- Learned, visited, ate, drank, made merry through the 12/6.
- Came back the morning of the 12/7, then played in the first CFDC winter league game. We lost, 14-16 after having 14-12, game point. Nuts.
- A healthy dose of exam review, grading, meetings, etc. 12-8 through 12-12.
- Dorm dinner on 12/9.
- Exams were 12/15 and 12/16, with grade comments also due on 12/15, so I spent most of the time from 12/10 to 12/15 working on either one of those things.
- Weekend dorm duty on 12/12 and 12/13
- Ultimate on 12/14 (worst ass-kicking in ultimate of my life. Tweaked my knee a little, too), followed up by exam help.
- Turned in my comments, finished my exams, gave my exam, then gave math extra help on 12/15.
- Started grading exams also on 12/15.
- Math exam on 12/16, spent the rest of the day grading and correcting my comments.
- Finished grading and entering grades at 2:36pm today, so I am a free man
Except, the trip summaries for my visit to Harvard-Westlake and TABS, tracking down missing exams, organizing our winter break trip to New York, setting up my HSA, buying/making Christmas gifts, performing maintenance on my car, etc. etc. etc. etc.
I haven’t really been up to much, though…
