Sort of a follow-up article about basketball statistics. What’s interesting is that the author sort of comes to the conclusion that you can’t use stats to measure everything— the mark of a true stat-head.
First of all, yahoo pipes is incredible. Basically, you can drag and drop data sources (it seems like it allows for any structured data, which is incredible), and then filter, combine, sort, etc. (massage) it until you get it like you want. It is all done graphically, and it makes sense. So much so that I didn’t even really use this tutorial, though it is solid.
Second, yahoo pipes has allowed me to create a feed for this site that doesn’t include my tweets. Certainly, I appreciate the haiku-esque brevity and power behind them, but some people don’t need to know how many words I typed last Sunday now do they? For them I present the juxtapoz sans twitter feed.
