The Royals are off the pace of their torrid 3-0 start from last season, but they did still manage to win their first game of the year in a 2-0, three-hit, shutout. Their total run differential for the season is zero (at this point last season it was plus-five).

I wish I had posted this before the playoffs had started (it’s been in my mind for a while), but I didn’t. The long and short of it is, that there is no doubt in my mind that the Cubs will not make it past the Dodgers, and the biggest reason is Manny (who, incidentially, is a genius who was being manipulated by the worst human in sports).

• An excellent article about web standards (and standards in general, really) that everyone can read and understand.
• A hilarious video about making the first Mac probably not worth seven minutes, but definitely worth at least 2.5.
• Very punny
• 10 cool Star Wars videos. The George Lucas in Love one gets a little old after a while, but the real gem is the little girl explaining the movie. Kids are great.
• I said it before, and I’ll say it again, I love what cracked does. This time it is 6 Species that Aren’t Endangered Enough and 5 Pure Kick-ass Propaganda Movies which, of course, includes Red Dawn.
• Who wants to be Tiger Woods? I mean, one moment, you’re the winner of seven straight events and the best golfer in the world ever, and the next, you threaten to break the [expletive deleted] necks of people who take pictures in the middle of your downswing and you’re the best golfer in the world ever. Sounds rough (though secretly, I sympathize as much as my love for the second-best televised game- right after Jeopardy!- will allow).
• Lastly, I don’t have anything tadpole related, but I did see a video of a toad “hatching” baby toads. Apparently, they “shoot” out of holes in mamma toad’s back. It is highly disturbing, and I hope I never see that again.

• Pay-Rod and Bruce Bowen are birds of a feather in my opinion.
• Thom York bad, Trent Reznor good; I only liked Kid A, anyways.
• Perhaps the best map ever made. The best part is when she (yes, she) compares Ludacris to Johnny Cash.

6 days and no post? Sorry about that. Busy busy busy.

I just want to say that if the Patriots lose tonight, the level of play in the NFL will go down next season, and the Patriots will go undefeated and win the Superbowl next year. If the Patriots win tonight, parity in the NFL will decrease next season- there will be a few outstanding teams, very few mid-level teams, and a lot of bad teams.

I also predict that the Patriots will win and cover.

And those are likely the last insights I will have on the world of professional football.

Also, new stuff on wordpress is coming, even though I hate wordpress. I like the  writing, but just haven’t had the time, in fact, I don’t even have time to be writing this…
